What changed in the Wizard Alchemy alchemy rework?
The rework changes material consumption, adds more control over potion outcomes through repeated matching materials, and adjusts most non-event material rarities to better fit the potions they produce.
Do materials get consumed every time now?
No. A material is consumed only if the successful potion result is the same rarity or a higher rarity than that material. If the result is lower rarity, that higher-rarity material returns to you.
How do you target a specific potion in Wizard Alchemy now?
Use the material associated with that potion outcome. Repeating that material increases the chance of the matching potion, and Cyclone9's patch video shows 5 legendary materials being used for a 100% legendary potion outcome.
Does stacking one material improve all potion odds?
No. Stacking a specific material increases the chance of that material's associated potion. As that chance rises, lower-rarity potion chances and other high-rarity potion chances go down.
Are the exact material-to-potion combinations known yet?
Some practical routes are now visible in-game, including the 5 legendary material route shown for a 100% legendary potion outcome. Use current in-game crafting odds and Cyclone9's patch video before trusting older recipe advice.
Are event materials affected by the rarity changes?
The patch notes specifically say event materials are not affected by the material-rarity adjustment. Most other materials may have their rarity changed.
Is there a Cyclone9 video for the alchemy rework?
Yes. Cyclone9's 100% Legendary Potions patch explainer is embedded on this page and has a full companion guide for Qilin, Fiendish Qilin, Mystery Merchant, Auto Alchemy, crystals, monoliths, and current codes.
